Windsor, ON - I had the pleasure of attending the BrewGals event on June 23rd at Craftheads and was impressed by the turnout. There had to be at least thirty beer-loving women in the group and the poor bartender struggled to keep up with the demand. Craftheads has a massive list of unique craft beer choices, so I kind of appreciated the long line-up. I needed time to make a decision.
Windsor, On. -The craft beer craze has taken off in Windsor and there are now several local breweries and pubs offering their own brand of high-quality beers. When the trend first surfaced, I had absolutely no interest in craft beer, since I had always preferred wine. It’s a common gender stereotype that beer is for men and wine is for women. I knew very few women who preferred beer, so I never gave it much consideration.

Ontario inCraft is proud to be initiating a monthly, organized group in Windsor & Essex County entitled “BrewGals - Windsor Women’s Craft Collective”
This is the first for the area and the group plans to meet once a month and support local women’s charities. The group plans on discussing beer education and different brew styles, exploring food pairings and enjoying a social night out once a month. Each meeting will be focused around various craft beverages that are offered in the region. BrewGals will be contributing content to Ontario inCraft Magazine and has an open, free membership to women in the Windsor & Essex County region.
Toronto, ON – Muddy York Brewing Co. is pleased to announce the grand opening of their retail bottle shop on Saturday, April 2nd, 2016. Ontario Craft Brewers today acknowledged the Ontario government for its industry support in the 2016 provincial budget. Government announced that it will extend funding for the Microbrewery Strategy for a total of $1.4 million over two years.
