Trafalgar Ales and Meads wins Gold

A recent media release from Trafalgar Ales & Meads explains their excitement from the recent Ontario Brewing Awards.

On Thursday, April 9, Oakville’s Trafalgar Ales and Meads became Ontario’s highest scoring brewery at the Ontario Brewing Awards held at the Corus center in Toronto.

“It was quite an exciting night, we knew that our beers would do well, but not to the extent that we would win 4 gold and 3 silver medals in competition with some great breweries." says Mike Arnold, Trafalgar’s owner

Trafalgar received gold medals for its Pumpkin Ale, Stout and Espresso Stout and silver medals for its Ginger Mead, Raspberry Mint Beer and Ginger Beer.

The Ontario Brewing Awards are held annually, inviting submissions from all Ontario’s licensed breweries. This year almost 500 submissions were received from 49 breweries.

Trafalgar Ales and Meads brewery and retail store are located at 1156 Speers in Oakville. It was founded in 1993 as is considered to be one of Ontario’s most innovative breweries having received the federal government’s gold medal for innovation in 2001 and the LCBO’s Elsie Award for Marketing Innovation in 2000.
