Tecumseh, Ontario, (Nov. 5) – The name is FRANK. And it’s the newest member of the burgeoning craft beer industry in Windsor-Essex. Founded by local restaurateur Shane Meloche, FRANK Brewing Co. is reviving the brewing heritage in the town of Tecumseh. “The last time beer was produced here was back around 1956,” says Meloche. “We saw an opportunity to bring the tradition back to life with a unique craft brewery that celebrates our rich past while creating an exciting new era in local brewing.”
Inspired by his grandfather, FRANK pays homage to the honest, straightforward, no nonsense character of not only his grandfather, but to all the hardworking people that helped make Windsor Essex what it is today. “We have a lot to be proud of around here, and FRANK is our way of celebrating and honoring not only our grandfather, but our entire region.”
To begin, FRANK will offer a selection of hand-crafted small batch beers…“As a craft brewery, we’re more concerned with quality rather than quantity, so we’ll be continually refining and tweaking our batches,” Meloche says. “We want our customers to play a vital role with the initial batches. We’ll be listening to them, so we can refine and craft great tasting beer.”
The brewery will feature a taproom with seating for around 60 and a deli style menu and pizza oven that will compliment the beer selection… “With a healthy selection of deli sandwiches and pizza, FRANK will be a great lunch option for nearby businesses and residents,” Meloche says. In addition to the brewery itself, FRANK will also be on tap at Johnny Shotz in Tecumseh.
Doors will officially open on Tuesday, December 8th at 4:00pm.
